Grilled Shrimp with an Herby, Lemony Jalapeño Marinade
Share
Another idea for Fish Friday! This marinade is so flavorful and versatile. Use the other half as a dressing for a hearts of palm, celery, avocado, walnut and arugula salad that you can serve with the shrimp, like in the video below.

INGREDIENTS
-
.25 cup fresh oregano (or another herb)
-
2 tablespoons garlic puree
-
1 teaspoon sea salt
-
1 tablespoon jalapeño (or more if you like!)
-
1 teaspoon Aleppo pepper
-
2 each lemons, zested and juiced
-
.5 cup EVOO
-
2 pounds shrimp, cleaned
METHOD
Combine all of the ingredients except the shrimp in a food processor. Pour half of the marinade over the shrimp and let marinade for 15min.
Get a cast iron grill pan hot enough that it begins to smoke. Place the shrimp on the grill pan in an even layer - you may have to do this in batches. Grill for three minutes per side.
Use the other half as a dressing for a hearts of palm, celery, avocado, walnuts and arugula salad that you can serve with the shrimp.
