OLD PERSONAL + PRIVATE CHEFFING
Below is a little more about my services and how I often help busy families, couples or individuals save time while eating healthy, delicious meals made from real, whole foods!
I began my professional food journey as an ABA therapist for children with Autism. A few of my students experienced transformational results with a gluten and casein free diet, yet struggled to find a variety of delicious food that they could eat. I had always loved food, and had experience as a bread baker and private events cook for Disneyland, so I decided to attend the Culinary Institute of America, Greystone to learn how to create options for people like my students!
After culinary school I worked as a pastry chef for Michelin starred restaurants in San Francisco and Napa. During this time I became aware of my own health issues. I had always been very healthy, but my body was not responding well to many of the ingredients I used daily. For Lent one year I abstained from gluten, dairy and sugar. To my surprise, many of the health ailments I experienced dissipated. As I researched the nutrition and science behind ingredients, I decided to leave restaurants and begin a personal cheffing business for busy families and professionals who had very specific dietary restrictions and health goals.
It has officially been ten years of personal cheffing for my wonderful clients! I believe that eating healthy doesn't mean restrictive - there is SO MUCH variety and healing in real, whole food! My food philosophy remains the same regardless of who I am cooking for: organic produce, dairy from pasture raised animals, pasture raised eggs, wild caught fish and seafood, and meat from regenerative farms. No gluten, soy, beans, legumes, chemicals, additives, artificial ingredients, gums, etc... just the best quality ingredients I can get my hands on to make real, whole food.
Meal Prep Services (two options)
Option One: Personal Cheffing w/ Limited Substitutions
- This option is great for people who are paleo, keto, vegetarian, Mediterranean, etc., or those just looking for healthy meals
- I create a delicious and nutritious menu that changes each week and is inspired by the season. Most of what is posted on my Insta highlights and stories is this plan. Dishes are repeated at most twice a year
- I can easily sub protein, certain veggies, grains/no grains, or dairy vs. vegan cheese for some dishes. If there are many substitutions I will recommend the private cheffing option
- Cost: $30 per dinner portion // $30 per snack (4-6 portions, to last you all week). This includes meal planning, grocery shopping, cooking, and any chats we may have in between. Delivery is totally free if you order five or more portions (which is two meals and one snack if you are a couple)
Option Two: True Private Cheffing
- This is for someone who has very specific dietary restrictions, those counting macros, or anyone who would like a truly customized meal plan. This is also for anyone who would like lunch and breakfast options
- I create a menu totally dedicated to YOU and am fully available to discuss any and all ingredients via email, text, or Instagram DM
- Complimentary desserts and delivery included each week
- Per household: One dinner for up to four people each month so you can entertain visitors!
- Cost: Salary starts at $1125 per person, per month, plus the cost of groceries. Please note, I cannot give an estimate of grocery cost because each of my private cheffing clients' requirements vary
How It Works
Personal Cheffing
- Menus are posted on Monday by 8pm MT on my website. I am available to chat about potential substitutions throughout the week via email or Instagram DM during normal working hours
- You confirm your order by Thursday at noon. If you order three or more portions your delivery is totally free
- There are no refunds for cancellations after Thursday at noon. If you cancel before noon, you will be credited for a future week. Please gift your meals if you need to cancel after Thursday at noon
- I deliver your order to you on Monday or Tuesday in glass containers. This is also the day you return any containers from the previous week
- The glass containers are due at the next drop off. If we stop working with each other, YOU are responsible for returning the containers within seven days. If they are not, you must pay for them in full
- No commitments! You can skip weeks at any time
Private Cheffing
- I will send you a proposed menu at the beginning of each week. I am totally available to chat about potential substitutions throughout the week via email, Instagram DM, or text. Please reach out to schedule a phone call
- You confirm your order by Thursday at noon. I will text you if I don't hear from you!
- You are able to cancel until the moment I grocery shop. If you cancel after, you are still responsible for the cost of the groceries. Please gift these meals as I don't carry over produce from one week to the next
- I deliver your order to you on Monday or Tuesday in glass containers. This is also the day you return any containers from the previous week
- The glass containers are due at the next drop off. If we stop working with each other, YOU are responsible for returning the containers within seven days. If they are not, you must pay for them in full (you'll see your tally each week when I invoice you)
- This is a month to month commitment. There are no service refunds for unused monthly meals
- Grocery payment is due when invoiced, before drop off. I accept cash, Venmo, Zelle, or can invoice you via Shopify.
If you are a current client and would like to purchase my services as a gift, I can deliver directly to you. You are responsible for any unreturned containers. I will not deliver to or communicate with your gift receiver unless they book a 30-minute consultation and I feel like we are a good fit.
